Trustly at Ezz
Trustly belongs to a family of services that never holds money. It initiates payment instructions on behalf of the person paying, inside that person's own bank. For reconciliation that changes the whole picture, because there is no intermediate account where value can sit — only a bank, an instruction and a confirmation. This file follows that short chain. The alternatives are on the payments page.

Who issues the instruction
The player picks a bank from a list and is handed to that institution's authentication screen. Credentials are entered in the banking environment, and the transfer instruction is prepared with the amount and payee already filled in. What the operator receives is confirmation that the instruction was accepted, plus the minimum identifying details of the source account — the holder's name and an operation reference. It receives no credentials and no standing access.
That is the difference between open banking and a wallet: there is no intermediate balance and no second account to register, verify and maintain. The trade-off is the absence of a place to park funds, which makes this rail a poor fit for anyone who wants gaming money kept apart from everyday money.
Four states, in order
- Initiated — created but not authenticated. Abandoning the screen here leaves no movement at all.
- Authenticated and confirmed — the bank accepted the instruction; the balance usually reflects it within minutes.
- Confirmed but unreconciled — the confirmation arrived, the credit has not. The operation reference in online banking closes the case.
- Declined by the bank — insufficient funds, a daily transfer ceiling, or authentication not finished in time.
The statement does double duty
The movement appears on the bank account as an outgoing transfer with the payee and a service-issued reference. Because the payment leaves the bank account directly, that same statement serves both as proof of the deposit and as evidence of the payment instrument for the verification set out in the withdrawal file. Rails with an intermediary cannot offer that economy, and it is a genuine reason to prefer this one when paperwork is the annoyance being optimised away.
Coming back
Money returns by transfer to the bank account that sent it, always in the name of the gaming account holder, and usually lands the same business day when the request clears within processing hours. If the bank account changed between deposit and withdrawal, the operator will ask for evidence of the new IBAN, exactly as in a SEPA transfer. Coverage of supported banks varies by country and by period, and what the cashier displays on the day is the only reliable source.
